T.I. and his wife Tameka Cottle were recently arrested for possession of a controlled substance while riding in a Maybach (an over 300K mercedes). T.I. is a muli-platinum selling artist and is the producer of the hit movie “Takers”. He just finished a 1 year prison sentence for possession of illegal fire arms and is currently on probation. Congratulations to all parents (regardless of what kind) that are blessed enough to have a gift from almighty God called “Child”. This statement from gifted artist Ne-yo really disturbed me:

“I have a friend. Not a girlfriend. She’s carrying my child but knows I can’t commit. She doesn’t mind other women.” [SOURCE]

Children are a blessing from God. We as a nation are allowing our own selfish acts to “evolve” an already effective mold for raising children. Pleasure or a moment of passion seems to be the way a lot of children are being conceived. We’ve got movies and actors warped since of family being broadcast all over the world. This is a consistent topic of conversation between “Lo” and I (Founders of RPmovment) because, at least for african-americans, many artist/musicians get there start in church. Black churches are charismatic and we believe in outward expressions of praise and worship. Our churches have soul stirring musicians and singers, but quite a bit of them make the 180 turn from God to the concepts that fuel an ungodly world. I recently just saw and had a chance to speak with Bishop Walter Hawkins and like every time I’ve seen him before he encouraged me to stay my course and to continue to work in excellence. Bishop was always ready to help anyone he could and would take time to hear what you had to say. He was a pioneer and innovator far beyond his time. The Hawkins have been making music well beyond my lifespan and to this day you can hear their music and influence throughout all gospel. Sad that we only make mention of our treasures upon their departures but nevertheless RP Movement thanks God for Bishop Walter Hawkins and all he has done for the body of Christ.
