To all of my Nintendo 64 Goldeneye gamers.. you have to see this!! I remember when Goldeneye held the title for heavyweight champion of RPG shooter games.

Put on your night vision goggles, body armor, and stealth shoes, and get ready for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction ($50). The fifth installment in the Sam Fisher-led Splinter Cell series,Conviction joins Fisher as he continues to search for clues about his past, uncovering both betrayal and a terrorist plot that would make Jack Bauer quiver. Apart from the storyline, you get a lengthy co-op mode with an exclusive “Prologue” feature, a full arsenal of new high-tech toys to play with, and, of course, Xbox Live support.

Recently released on Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360 Prototype is another of the great games of this summer. New York has been infected with a virus that is changing its citizens and its your job to find out what happened.

The game does not fail in the action part of the game. You get to destroy buildings, decapitate heads, and even hijack helicopters. You can switch between different powers at will and use them however you see fit. Another fun aspect of the game is taking the identity of other people and using that to your advantage. There are times when you will have to steal the identity of a General of the army to get inside their base and wreak havoc. There are other times when you will have to kill a scientist just to obtain a small memory of your past and find out about the virus.

Where the game fails is that afet you have completed the main story the interest is gone. You have the option of completing all these extra side missions that give you points to upgrade your powers but they are really not worth the time and I lost interest in them really quick.

Prototype is a great game but it still could have used more work on the story or they could have at least made it a little longer so you could have more time to enjoy it. I would give it a 4 out of 5.

Imagine what it would be like to be crashed on some strange planet with no way to get home and to make it worse, there are soldiers and dinosaurs that are out there trying to kill you and each other. Well thats what its like playing the new Turok that was released for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC.

Turok is a first person shooter that puts you in a huge jungle where your job is to find your evil mentor and also come up with an escape plan to leave. The storyline is not very engaging and will have you just skipping the cutscenes just to kill the next dinosaur. The game does not fail in its level of blood and gore thus gaining its mature rating. You can either use your knife to cut the overgrown lizards throats, or if you get the chance to be really sadistic you can always blow them to meat chunks with a well placed exploding arrow.

The environment is not very open and through the game you will mostly find yourself traveling through set paths. Also, the game has very frustrating fight sequences and glitches to it. You will find yourself dying lots of times for you will get knocked off your feet alot, thus sending you to the ground to receive a hailstorm of bullets in your chest or dinosaurs ripping you apart. Dinosaurs will come out of nowhere and you can not always tell they are there until they are practically killing you.

i cant say that Turok is a game thats worth it because the only thing it has going for it is fighting dinosaurs and that can only get you so far these days. I will give it 2.5 stars and suggest you rent the game and please don’t buy it. It is just about the same as the Nintendo 64 version with just better graphics.
