James 1:5-8 (New Living Translation)
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.
Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Have you ever heard someone say, “God works in Mysterious ways”.  That statement has been taken out of context among many christians and they have used it as an excuse to have a slack relationship with God and the study of His instructions.  Romans 11 puts mysterious in the right perspective.  It points us toward not arrogantly thinking we can figure the creator of the universe out or place him on the same level as man.

I have been re-evaluating my relationship with God and have found the source of my ineffectiveness as a child of God, being “Double-Minded”.  With out complete and total trust in God and what He says we cannot please God.  I hadforgotten how lethal uncertainty pertaining to God’s ability “live up to his side of bargain” or grant that answer to my prayer (done in humility and not to fulfill some selfish desire) is.  I found out that I slowly settled into uncertainty because many of the christians around me were acting the same way.

There are plenty of biblical character examples, principles, and instructions thru out the bible that warn us against doubt, fear, and worry when it comes to God’s ability.  I guarantee that a major reason why we aren’t as effective as believers is because of our, inability to stay rooted and grounded in the word of God.  I am making it a point to reset my trust in areas that are littered with uncertainty by meditating on biblical instructions until I am certain.

Take the red pill and join the movement.  Are you a believer or not?
