I was listening to the radio and I happened to stumble upon a host fielding responses from his audience when asked the question about going back in time and giving yourself advice at 15. At first I was listening to all of the listeners and laughing at some of the things they were saying, but then the Lord told me to listen with my spiritual ear. Then He said, “What do you really here?”. What I heard were biblical principles, the wisdom and instruction of God.
I heard things like listen to your parents, be yourself (be the unique creation God made you), treat women with respect, don’t lie, cheat, steal, what goes around comes around (reap what you sow) etc… This is more evidence that God and His biblical principles are good. Deep down everyone knows that the wisdom the bible states is relevant, practical and common sense. I believe that life, its ups and downs, has made some some bitter, self-worshipers, disillusioned, hopeless, confused, etc.. . In this disoriented state, who has the capacity to believe in God. It’s only when we determine in our minds to seek truth, purpose and meaning for life, that we open the door to have an encounter with God.
What would you tell your 15yr old self? How many are practical, common sense instructions that can be found in God’s word? Let us know. Take the red pill and join the movement.
