2 Peter 1:1 (New International Version)
1Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:

I was playing “The Bible Experience” in my car and this scripture just leaped out and grabbed me, because it simply states the importance of Jesus the Christ. For all those that don’t understand, Jesus death on the cross was a perfect sacrifice because He was/is completely righteous. There was no corruption found in Him in any way. Jesus is morally perfect, unlike the rest of us.

None of us can be “saved” or right enough for God because he demands holiness, moral perfection. Our righteousness as the bible states is like filthy rags because it has been tainted by our consistent capitulation to lustful desires that disobey God’s instructions. We like doing stuff that God doesn’t like and that just aint gonna cut it. This is why Jesus is important, and is always apart of the salvation equation because He is the answer.

Isaiah 64:6 (Amplified Bible)
6For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God's favor, hurrying us toward destruction].

Thru the righteousness of Jesus we all can receive the opportunity to believe that He is the way to salvation. We can have faith, believe, that Jesus is the way to ultimate truth and the light the shows us the path toward eternal life. Take the red pill and join the movement.
