“Hey guys,
I have been working with charities that help children starting way back when I was in Akeelah and The Bee, but I have never done anything like this, I was just so moved by My Charity Water and wanted to help bring clean water to children, water should be clean and available to all people at least that is how I feel, I just want to help in some way.

On August 26th I turn 17th, but instead of birthday presents this year I am asking friends, family, and fans to help me bring clean water to children. I have been so very blessed in my life and it would truly be a great birthday if I could use it to help someone in need.”
