I don’t know about anyone else but this news really isn’t surprising or shocking. Mr. Edwards stepped out on his wife and ended up getting the mistress pregnant. As men we know that the mistress is the sex-chic. This is the woman where passionate, spontaneous, sex is the foundation of the whole relationship. This my brothers has to stop because we have a trail of illegitimate (bastard) children. I remember a time when this kind of behavior was unacceptable and embarrassing. Some may say get with the times, and go with the flow of acceptance for broken homes and fatherless children. I say shut your ignorant rhetoric up and open your eyes and see the tears of scorned women and empty, innocent kids.

We have to be better, and keep our pants zipped up. Sex is not a need, there is no legitimate science that supports this idiotic claim. What we as men have to face is that we have self control problems. A characteristic of a god-fearing man is self control, Galatians 5:19-26 lists this as evidence of person housing God’s spirit. There are several more characteristics listed that God gives to those that submit to his authority and allow Him to direct their lives.

Listen men, our kids need our contribution in their lives. They need a male of quality, character and integrity to give perspective, guidance, wisdom and protection. Young boys will continue to be devoid of the understanding of what it means to be a man if we don’t get our act together. Young girls will continue to be devoid of the understanding of what kind of man they should allow the privilege of entering into their lives if we don’t get our act together. There has to be a greater movement of men accepting marriage as the platform for fulfilling sex, family, and the roles of mentor, husband, and father.
