RP has been purposely silent on this topic so we could really understand what this situation was really about. After watching months of news reports, town hall meetings, and listening to hours of radio we’ve concluded its about money. I know some of you are saying, duh, but hold on. It’s not just about insurance companies and all those linked to them being greedy, its also about individuals in our society that have enough to afford health care and not wanting to experience the change this antiquated system needs.
This debate is about social class. The wealthier class unwilling to give back to those less fortunate. Everyone in need of health care isn’t a low life, good for nothing, that is trying to get more free or cheap stuff. We are talking about health care and the ability for everyone to have access to it. The reality, is that we have many elected officials on both sides really believing they are doing something thru frivolous debates and a few all night bickering sessions. Then they go home to their financially stable, health insured households and have a pretty decent nights sleep. Those that go to homes on the opposite end of the spectrum need to unite and let their voices be heard in this democratic nation.
The problem is that those that are hurting the most are in so much debt, stress and pain that they are disillusioned. Awake from your stupor, you cast down and broken hearted! Rise to your feet and let your voices be heard in every legislative arena because they obviously are not being heard.
