RPM- Welcome to RP Movement.net, start off by telling us a your name and where are you from?
PJ- Pj Morton. From new Orleans originally but been in Atl for 10 yrs.

RPM- So what was life like for young PJ Morton?
PJ- Well I was a preacher’s kid so LOTS of church, but that also meant lots of MUSIC. I enjoyed my childhood very much. Very tight family.

RPM- That’s what’s up! Speak on the changes that have taken place in your life?
PJ- Well change is inevitable. I just try to adapt and adjust.

RPM- What obstacles have you faced on your journey to success?
PJ- Probably remaining myself and being accepted on a mass scale at the same time. Seems like anyone who gets to the top has to somewhat sacrifice themselves, but I just can’t..

RPM- Now here on RPM we believe that the people that are in your camp makes a difference in how you achieve your goals, do you think that’s true?

PJ- Most definitely. I always pride myself on having a strong team. When someone starts to take the team down it’s time to move on.

RPM- What advice would you give to someone trying to come up like you?
PJ-Be exactly who you are designed to be and no one else. No one can be a better original of yourself than you.

RPM- With the economy in a restructure setting, what adjustments have you made to ensure that you stay successful?
PJ- Well we’ve always balled on a budget.. Lol. The recession has seemed to be helpful to me because I’ve never required much. it’s the people who have required a lot that having the problems.

RPM- Ok.. so what can we expect from you in the near future or present?
PJ- Well I have book coming out this fall called ‘why can’t I sing about love?’ talking about how the church itself has separated sacred music from secular and not God. Also a new record called ‘son of a preacherman’ coming maybe at the top of 2010.

RPM- I have to ask, where did your influence come from?
PJ- My father, stevie wonder, James Taylor, prince, beatles.

RPM- Finally, Why should anyone passing through RPM take time to get to know you better?
PJ-I’m one of the few originals left!

RPM- How can our audience and readers get in touch with you or get updates from you? (i.e.twitter, facebook. etc…)
PJ- twitter.com/thepjmorton, Myspace.com/pjmorton and pjmortononline.com

RPM- We thank you for your time in giving us this interview.. any last statements?
PJ- My pleasure. Support great music that moves you…
